【摘要】:Thepermanganatetimecanbeusedtojudgethepresenceofoxidizablematerialsthatmaybeassociatedwithmanufactureorcontaminationduringdistributionandtoassesscompliancewithaspecification.Manychemicalprocessesthatuseacetoneormethanol,orboth,involvecatalyst,metals,orligandcomplexesthataresensitivetooxidation.Sinceoxidizablecontaminantsmayaffecttheefficiencyoftheseprocesses,thistestmethodprovidesacomparativetestformanufacturingcontrolandassessingcompliancewithaspecification.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedetectioninacetoneandmethanolofthepresenceofimpuritiesthatreducepotassiumpermanganate.1.2Forpurposesofdeterminingconformanceofanobservedoracalculatedvalueusingthistestmethodtorelevantspecifications,testresult(s)shallberoundedoffx201C;tothenearestunitx201D;inthelastright-handdigitusedinexpressingthespecificationlimit,inaccordancewiththerounding-offmethodofPracticeE29.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.4Forspecifichazardinformationandguidance,consultthesupplier''sMaterialSafetyDataSheet.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
